Clans: What are they?
Clans are like a mini community, started up by one member, so many members can join. They usually have a theme, like books, foods, ect.. Usually, players will join these interests groups, and you may find people there with the same interests as you!
What do they do?
In clans, there are almost endless possibilities that can happen. It all depends on what the clan leader sets up and allows the groups to do. Some things are:
- Posting on the private clan fourms: All clans have their own private forums. The members of the clans can post different topics on them, and others can reply!
- Bank: You may donate to your clan bank, and this money might go to many things, depending on how the clan leader choses to spend it. Usually, it's spent on prizes for contests and such.
- Contests: Not all clans may have one, but sometimes clan leaders set up specific contests, such as drawing pictures, and you may be awarded prizes!
How do I join one?
In Chibipaws, on the sidebar of your page there should be a Clans link. You can click that, at it will bring up a list of the top nine clans. (or you can just click on the word clans here)
Besides those nine clans, there's many others. You may find them on different users profiles, and click the name to be brought into one.
After clicking the name of the clans you want to join, you will want to find the "join" button displayed by the facts of the clan on the page.
How do I make my own clan?
Click on the clans button on your Chibipaws sidebar, then go to Create a Clan. There you can name it and add the main page of your clan.
However, make sure you keep your clan active! If it is not updated within 30 days, your clan is deleted, and the bank's money and members go with it!
How do I edit it?
After you've created your clan, you can access it by clicking its name on your own profile, or clicking the clans button on the chibipaws sidebar, then "your clan".
This should bring you to your clan. You may edit it, if you own it, by clicking "admin" and going to "settings". HTML and BBCode may be used to add images, links, colored text and more to your clan page.
Accessing the Bank
You may donate to your clan by going to your clan page, then clicking "member", then "bank". This will go toward whatever the clan leader may wish.
If you own the clan, you may take the chibipoints out or distribute them by going to "admin" then "bank" from your clan main page. It should give you a list of your members. You select the member you think should receive the points, then enter the amount of points to be received into the textbox.
- Remember! The more money in the bank, the higher your clan ranking is, and the closer you are to becoming one of the top nine clans!
Becoming a popular clan
Becoming a popular clan is fairly simple, but takes time. Some things to get your clan popular may be:
- Posting on the Forums
- Having a good clan name (Something that tells what your clan is about!)
- Staying active (You'll keep members longer if there's actually things happening in the clan!)
- Lots of money in your clan bank (This will help heighten your clan rank, which may make your clan appear on the top nine clans list!)
- Lots of members (This will also help in making your clan rank rise!)
The more things to do in the clan, the better. Making banners for members to advertise is a good way to help, too! Members pitching in is always a good thing, and this will make for a better clan!
Deleting or Banning members
If you own the clan, you may delete or ban your members by going from your clan main page to "admin" and "members". It will list all the members currently in your clan, and gives you a drop down list, where you can choose to ban or delete certain members of your clan.
Deleting the Clan
If worse comes to worse, or you just decide you want to quit Chibipaws, there is a way to delete your clan. You may do this by going from your clan main page to "admin", then "delete clan".
You should only do this if you're absolutely sure, as there is no going back once your clan is gone.
However, if you do delete your clan, you are allowed to make a new one. Doing this will force you to start completely over with a new clan, and no members or money in the bank, so make sure you're ready before you delete!
